The London I read about when I was young
I was to visit London on the invite of my supplier I have been with for some years for some business transaction. I went to Holland and France on similar trips. To visit London was my heart desire for I have heard a lot and read a lot about the great city in my school days. I was in the Russell Square area for one week as wanted to be close to the heart of London and then stayed in South London also for one week to visits the Landmarks there.
I checked into the Tavistock hotel in Central London from the airport after a long journey from the Heathrow airport. In Bloomsbury, the Russell Square area has good hotels.
I was so fond of the area although that was my first day. With my map, I decided to hit town and explore the capital which I have read so much about. The City was not different from what I have heard and read about in books. My tour started when I decided to explore Russell Square first. I visited the British Museum and the British Library. Next on my list was to go and see for myself the street performers at covent garden.
For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. The places I visited included the Oxford Circus and Marble Arch in my first week in London. I went to the Leicester square which is sometimes called the Theatreland and there were a lot of theatres. The Piccadilly Circus to me was very exciting when I got there from Leicester Square. The place also looked vey busy. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. For certain, the three top major shopping street in the heart of London were fully packed with shoppers and tourists especially the Oxford street. The Soho and the China town were just close so I went there as well to have a look at the place as I have heard a lot about that area.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. This is where I have been itching to be because it is most of the landmarks in this area that I have read about. At Victoria, my first place of interest I visited was Buckingham Palace to witness the changing of the guard. I wanted to see the Tower clock also called the Big Ben for I have read a lot about it in books. In the same location as the Big Ben stood the Houses of Parliament. I also took a trip to the Westminster Abbey at the Parliament Square. London eye was the final Landmark I visited. How this structure was built will forever amaze me. Whoever was behind the design of the London Eye should be praised all the time. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.

Truly an unexplored gem of South America, Paragauy is known by it’s neighbors to be “as mysterious as the Mona Lisa”. More targeted resources, such as a destination guide for disabled travelers are even more difficult to find. The location where Asuncion is situated today was most likely visited by the Spanish conqueror Juan de Ayolas n the 16th century. He was searching for a way to get to… Continue reading Destination Guides : Asuncion - As Mysterious As The Mona Lisa
